This guide will help you install and setup ImportManager 2006.
The installation used in the example is made on a Windows XP Service Pack 2 OS with .NET 2.0, though ImportManager will work on Vista as well as Windows Server 2000 and 2003. Simply follow the steps outlined after the numbers and use the screens for maximum comprehension. Please note, that screen shots might vary from the PC you’re installing on.
1. Start the ImportManager 2006 installation.
Click “Next”.

2. License Agreement.
Read the end-user license agreement. Click “I Agree” and then “Next”.

3. Select Installation Folder.
Browse to an installation folder or simply accept the default folder. Usually the installation will be done for everyone, though you can select “Just Me” to limit it to the current user. If you’re worried about disk space, click “Disk Cost” to check, though this will usually not be necessary, as ImportManager takes up very little space.

4. Confirm Installation.
Click “Next”.

5. Installing.
Please wait while the program is installed.

6. Done.
The installation is complete. Click “Close”.

7. Start ImportManager 2006.
In “Programs” inside “CRM Extensions” click “ImportManager Studio 2006”.

8. Set connection settings.
You need to provide the CRM Web Service URL, as well as the SQL Server name and the Database catalog name.
Click “OK”.

9. Wait.
ImportManager will make the various connections and unless an error was made or the connection to the server is down, no further connection settings are necessary.

10. License.
Click the “License” tab and then the “Browse” button.

11. Locate License.
Browse to your license file, select it and click “Open”.

12. Validate License.
Import Manager 2006 will validate the license and provided there are no problems the following screen will show. Click “OK”.

13. Message.
Click “OK”.

14. Done.
Import Manager is now installed and configured for use, simply close down the program and start it up again and you’re done.
